The Desert Southwest Chapter of the Alzheimers Association is a charitable organization incorporated in the State of Arizona and governed by a local board of directors. While we are an affiliate of the National Alzheimers Association based in Chicago, all our work is devoted to providing service and support to Alzheimers patients, family members and caregivers throughout Arizona and Southern Nevada.
The Attorney General serves as the chief legal officer of the State. The Attorney General is mandated by our constitution and elected to a four-year term by the people of Arizona.
The Attorney Generals Office represents and provides legal advice to most State agencies; enforces consumer protection and civil rights laws; and prosecutes criminals charged with complex financial crimes and certain conspiracies involving illegal drugs. In addition, all appeals statewide from felony convictions are handled by this Office.
The Arizona Attorney Generals Office, through the Child and Family Protection Division, provides legal services to all the divisions of the Department of Economic Security (DES), including the Division of Child Support Services (DCSS). It also provides legal services to the Department of Child Safety.
The Attorney Generals Office brings and defends lawsuits on behalf of the State and prepares formal legal opinions requested by State officers, legislators, or county attorneys on issues of law.
The Attorney Generals Office has jurisdiction over Arizonas Consumer Fraud Act, white collar crime, organized crime, public corruption, environmental laws, civil rights laws, and crimes committed in more than one county. Additionally, this Office prosecutes cases normally handled by county attorneys when they have a conflict.
The Arizona Spinal Cord Injury Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with spinal cord injuries. Our goal is to promote physical, intellectual, spiritual, emotional and social recovery. The Association focuses on peer and family support, education of consumers, families, caregivers, and professionals, and linking people to vocational, social, and recreational resources.
As per the Constitution, the U.S. House of Representatives makes and passes federal laws. The House is one of Congresss two chambers (the other is the U.S. Senate), and part of the federal governments legislative branch. The number of voting representatives in the House is fixed by law at no more than 435, proportionally representing the population of the 50 states.
MDA is leading the fight to free individuals and the families who love them from the harm of muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle-debilitating diseases that take away physical strength, independence and life. We use our collective strength to help kids and adults live longer and grow stronger by finding research breakthroughs across diseases, caring for individuals from day one and empowering families with services and support in hometowns across America.

Our primary goal is to restore vision and/or hearing to improve the quality-of-life and productivity of those with no other resources. The Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation of Arizona is raising funds as well as awareness of the needs of both hearing loss and eye disease.
Restoration of vision and hearing through eye surgery, hearing aids and pediatric hearing aids or surgery is the Foundations main focus.
Recycling eyeglasses and hearing aids is another service provided by the Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation of Arizona.
