The Desert Southwest Chapter of the Alzheimers Association is a charitable organization incorporated in the State of Arizona and governed by a local board of directors. While we are an affiliate of the National Alzheimers Association based in Chicago, all our work is devoted to providing service and support to Alzheimers patients, family members and caregivers throughout Arizona and Southern Nevada.

DES provides supports and services to more than 35,000 people with developmental disabilities and their families throughout Arizona. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding research, finding cures and ensuring access to treatments for blood cancer patients.

Since 1949 LLS has been on the forefront of blood cancer advances such as chemotherapies and stem cell transplantation leading the way to the targeted therapies and immunotherapies that are saving thousands of lives today.

LLS is changing the landscape of cancer with more than 300 active research projects that explore different avenues of new and adventurous research; ones with promise and ones that will save lives not someday, but today.

Whenever we talk about cancer, we always use the same word. Someday. Someday there will be a cure. Someday we wont lose the people we love. But when is someday? With LLSs research partnerships and collaborations with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, patients support services and advocates working for blood cancer patients everywhere, someday is today.

The National Kidney Foundation of Arizona is the major voluntary health agency in Arizona seeking solutions for kidney and urinary tract diseases through education, prevention and treatment.

Committed to improve the quality of life for Arizonans with kidney failure, the Foundations many programs bring help and hope to thousands of dialysis patients and transplant recipients. NKF AZ kidney health initiatives provide community education about kidney health and the prevention of chronic kidney disease, and advocates for organ donation.

These efforts are made possible solely and in partnership with federal, state and local governments, public and private institutions, foundations and individuals.

The Department enforces the ADA through complaints, lawsuits, consent decrees, settlement agreements, and alternate dispute resolution (mediation).
