

Exploring Arizona, Adaptive Hiking Series
There’s no better way to refresh the spirit than a hike in the wonderful outdoors! Join us for Exploring Arizona adaptive hiking series.



Exploring Arizona Hiking Series is back for the 23/24 season. Our first hike will be Oct. 23rd up in Payson to the Mogollon Rim Trail. This hike is at almost at 7,000 feet however the trail is well maintained and paved so perfect for all types of mobility devices. Distance is an out-and-back with stunning views. Hike is from 11-1pm. AZSCIA will be providing transportation from Ability360 Sports and Fitness Center at 8 AM if needed.
This is a partnership with Ability360 Sports & Fitness Center, AZ Spinal Cord Association, and Barrow Neurological Institute/Barrow Outpatient Neuro-Rehabilitation Center. Space is limited and we want people to sign up soon!
This outdoor program is unique in the sense that participants will require no additional devices or equipment to navigate the trail. The Trails we have chosen for these upcoming hikes are all hard packed dirt and can be done from a Powerchair, Day Wheelchair, Crutches, Walker…etc.
People are allowed to bring 1 friend/caregiver with them and can sign up using the form below. If you’d like to bring more than one person, call 602-386-4284. NO ANIMALS ALLOWED.
Cost: $10 per person
Transporte, if needed (be at Ability 360 by 8 a.m): additional $5 per person
Bring a sack lunch, snacks, water, and sun protection

TIME: 11AM – the hike will take about 2 hours.
Coolers will be provided for you to place your own Snacks or Lunch inside!
