On April 2, Autism Awareness Day, Sesame Street launched new resources to help families and communities understand autism.
Although he’s only 12 years old, Gabe Scanlan of Gilbert has his eyes firmly planted on the prize—the Paralympics. Gabe could qualify for the Paralympics in a multitude of sports. He plays wheelchair basketball, runs the 100, 200, and 800-meter dashes and throws shot put, javelin and discus.

Phoenix held its Disability Awareness Recognition Event on Tuesday, October 24th honoring those with disabilities, employers, educators and others who have shown dedication to addressing the access and functional needs of the disability community. The ceremony also recognizes commitment to improving the quality of life of all residents and visitors of Phoenix.
