Construction of the long-awaited 50th St. light rail stop begins at 8:00 AM Wednesday, June7. This station will showcase accessibility with a wider platform, enhanced shade during the day and lighting at night, innovative crosswalk features and thoughtful placement of sidewalks to ensure the greatest possible access to the station by its users.

This is the first capital project to be constructed under the voter-approved Phoenix Transportation 2050 plan. Completion is expected in May of 2019.
