Addressing the Transition Needs of Youth and Young Adults with Disabilities
August 25—27, 2014
Talking Stick Resort, Scottsdale, AZ
SCHOLARSHIP REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! A limited number of scholarships are available so that youth and young adults with disabilities and/or their supports needing financial assistance can attend the conference. Note: Sessions for youth, young adults and family members will be held on Monday, August 25 and Tuesday, August 26. Scholarships can assist with conference registration fees, lodging costs, or both. The total number of scholarships awarded will be based on available funding and offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Eligible applicants must be Arizona residents and must also be a: 1. Youth/young adult between the ages of 14 and 26 years with a documented special education category of disability; and/or a 2. Peer/friend, teacher, counselor, mentor, provider, or family member to accompany or support an eligible youth/young adult (see #1).
Additional considerations:
> If a youth is under 18, he or she must be accompanied by an adult who is willing to assume responsibility.
> If applying as a peer/friend, teacher, counselor, mentor, provider, or family member, you must discuss your participation with the youth/young adult/family and also provide the name of the person you’re accompanying in the scholarship application.
