Splash’N Play Information

What?

Splash ‘N Play is designed for valley schools to come experience the fun and excitement SpoFit has to offer. We will be providing several different adaptive activities for classes to choose from including swimming, rock climbing, fitness classes, and court activities.

When?

Tuesday, March 3rd     OR     Thursday, March 5th   OR    Thursday, May 7th
Each event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Who?

This fieldtrip is open to all Special Education classes Kindergarten- High School

Transportation?

With the support of the Davignon Charitable Fund, SpoFit will cover the cost of transportation! Submit your transportation invoice to Kayla Uptain at Kaylau@abil.org or mail to SpoFit, 5031 E. Washington St. Attn: Kayla Uptain, Phoenix, AZ 85034

Cost?

$3 per student

Liability Waivers?

All students MUST have a SpoFit Liability Waiver signed by a parent/guardian in order to participate in the activities at SpoFit. 

Activity Information

Swimming: Students and teachers will enjoy the splashing of the water in our lap pool. The pool temperature will be between 82 and 85 degrees with the pool depth ranging from 3.6-10 feet. There will be Lifeguards on duty. Please make sure if you sign up for this activity that your students are comfortable and can swim in the water.

Rock Climbing: Test your climbing skills on our 35 foot rock climbing wall! All climbing equipment is provided and staff will give a brief orientation of the rock wall to all students. All students climbing must be at least 40 pounds to climb the rock wall and MUST wear the provided safety equipment.

Fitness Class: Who would have ever thought fitness would be fun?! This class will get that heart rate up and burn some calories all while having fun!

Court Activities: SpoFit staff will facilitate several different activities ranging from team building, relay races, sports skills, and social recreation. Some activities will include scooter boards, parachutes, bowling, trampolines, and many more!

Lunch: Classes may bring a sack lunch for the students to enjoy on the fieldtrip to SpoFit. Please note: there will be an assigned time for classes to eat lunch and there is no food available for purchase at SpoFit.

At least 2 weeks prior to the event, you will receive an itinerary with your designated activities and times. These will be based on your activity priorities, needs, and facility/staff availability.
