
Legislators work for you, the voter. The AZ Legislature starts the first week in January. We need to be ready to protect our civil rights. With the Arizona Legislature likely to consider at least one bill focusing on disability rights and the possibility that other disability related legislation will be heard, it is more important than ever that you get involved.

This will be an overview of how the legislature works, how you can get involved, a tool kit to help you stay involved and updates on legislative bills important to the disability community. Additional trainings are scheduled to provide more information in depth with roll playing practice for communicating with legislators effectively. Part 3 Wednesday, Feb. 1 at 6pm and Part 4 Saturday, Feb. 4th at 10 am at Ability360

Join the Arizona Disability Coalition, (ADC), for our Day at the Capitol. This event provides you with an opportunity to learn first-hand about the legislative process. The day will include appointments with House and Senate representatives, hearings on legislation, and mentoring from seasoned advocates.
