Ability360 will be closed Monday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day. The Ability360 Sports & Fitness Center’s hours on July 1st will be from 6am-6pm and it will be closed Saturday, July 2nd – Monday, July 4th. Re-opening on Tuesday, July 5th at 6am.

Building Bridges – Empowering Youth with Disabilities into Adulthood

This program assists high school students ages 14-22, to transition from high school into community life. 

Empowering Youth brochure coverThe Empowering Youth Program provides individual and family advocacy, technical support to special education teachers, and assistance to students and parents with advocacy in facilitating Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).  In addition, this program offers disability sensitivity training in the schools and technical assistance to regular education teachers in accommodating youth with disabilities.

Opportunities are available in the classroom setting at your schools for youth to participate in presentations/workshops to learn independent living skills.
